In this role, you will have the opportunity to draft important legal documents such as pleadings, motions, decrees, and orders. You will also conduct thorough legal research to support trial preparation and help keep case files organized and easily accessible.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in drafting petitions, orders, discovery, and all other documents related to family law.
- Utilize FormBuilder and internal templates, with the ability to independently select the
- appropriate template and prepare the initial draft.
- Navigate the complexities of family law, where there is often no single “right” or “best” answer, requiring creativity, organization, and efficiency when gathering information.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, understanding that errors may have a significant impact on clients.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously over extended periods, effectively tracking key dates, keeping relevant parties informed, and prioritizing tasks to meet all deadlines.
- Treat every case with the same level of care and compassion, regardless of time or day,
- recognizing that clients often experience high levels of stress and anxiety.
- Exhibit empathy, a growth mindset, the ability to relate to individuals in crisis, and a good sense of humor.
- Perform administrative duties, including answering phone calls and maintaining an organized case filing system to ensure all documents are easily accessible.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, supporting client meetings, filing motions, conducting legal research, and coordinating witnesses.
- Draft subpoenas and work closely with process servers.
- Support attorneys in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits.

- Proven experience in Family Law case management within a U.S.-based law firm (mandatory)
