Criminal Defense Intake Specialist (On-Site) Location: El Salvador – On-Site Schedule: Full-time | We are looking for a highly organized and empathetic Criminal Defense Intake Specialist to join our legal support team. As the first point of contact for clients facing criminal charges, you will play a key role in gathering essential information, identifying urgent matters, and preparing accurate intake files for attorneys. This position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to communicate clearly with individuals under stressful circumstances. Responsibilities Client Engagement: • Conduct initial intake interviews with clients or family members involved in criminal cases. • Collect key information including arrest details, charges, court dates, prior convictions, and attorney history. • Identify urgent or time-sensitive matters (e.g., clients in custody, upcoming arraignments, or bail hearings). • Explain the firm’s process, next steps, and what clients can expect during their legal representation. Data & Documentation Management: • Accurately enter client and case information into the firm’s case management system. • Gather and organize supporting documents such as police reports, booking sheets, bail information, and court filings. • Maintain detailed and secure client records in compliance with attorney–client privilege and privacy standards. • Prepare summaries of intake calls for attorney review, ensuring accuracy and clarity of facts. Coordination & Communication: • Work closely with criminal defense attorneys to ensure seamless case handoffs. • Schedule attorney consultations, court calls, and follow-up meetings with clients. • Track case status and follow up with clients to confirm completion of required steps or document submissions. • Maintain communication with public defenders, courts, or bail agencies when directed by supervising attorneys. Additional Duties: • Assist in improving intake processes to enhance accuracy and client experience. • Support attorneys in pre-trial preparation by updating client timelines or document checklists. • Provide general administrative support to the criminal law department. What We’re Looking For • 1–2 years of experience in legal intake, client services, or administrative support (criminal or law firm experience preferred). • Knowledge of criminal law procedures, including arraignments, bail, and plea processes. • Strong English communication skills (C1–C2 level required). • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly. • Compassionate and professional when working with clients involved in sensitive or high-stress cases. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems. • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines. • On-site availability,
